It is important to chain your ramp securely to your dock. If you dock is not set up for this then you must install concrete anchors for the chains to attach. These anchor must be rated for the intended weight you plan to use for your ramp. Not only is this OSHA standards but this is bad news for any company if this is not done correctly. We have kits that contain everything needed for you to secure your ramp to the dock available. Ask your sales rep for details.
Properly placed wheel chocks are integral in making sure you stay safe when setting up your ramp. It is also extremely important to use wheel chocks on the trailer as well if you intend to use your ramp to unload a trailer.
